Built by a veteran who got denied first

I am a veteran. I filed my own VA disability claim, the same way you probably did, and I got denied. Not because I was not hurt. I got tripped up by words nobody ever taught me. My letter was full of them. Nexus. Secondary. Deferred. Effective date. I read that decision three times and still could not tell you what it actually wanted from me.

So I did what we were trained to do. I stopped guessing and I did the work. I looked up every term. I read the actual regulation, the part of 38 CFR the rater was scoring my file against, not somebody's summary of it. And slowly the fog cleared. The claim was never really about my injury. It was about whether the file said the right things in the language the system reads. Once I saw that, I could see exactly where my claim had fallen through, and exactly what it needed instead.

Why this exists

I built Boots to Benefits so that the next veteran does not have to lose a year, or a rating, or a lump sum, to a word they were never taught. Everything I had to dig for, the guides here hand you for free, in plain English, cited to the regulation so you can check it yourself. I have been through the hard parts of this system myself. That is not a sales pitch. It is the reason the writing here refuses to talk down to you, refuses to scare you, and refuses to pretend a claim is simpler than it is.

The tools have a limit too, and I say it inside the product: the decoder and the Copilot only know what is in the letter you upload and what you tell them. They do not have your full VA file. They make you sharper and faster. They do not replace your records or a real advocate.
